What would an artful, rather than a developmental, toddlerhood look like?

This site is one of the outcomes of the AHRC funded project Towards Toddlerhood: Reframing toddlers and their development through the arts. We ask;

How can arts practice generate critical conversations with, and alternative understandings of, toddlerhood?

Here we record our thinking and work as we collaboratively explore common ‘motifs‘ of toddlerhood through an arts based lens. Working inter-disciplinarily, and with artists in residence on the project, we consider movement, feeding, tantrumming, sleeping and communicating otherwise.
